The Parish Council and residents have expressed concern at the location of the only post box for Hunts Grove.
The box is located at the head of Hunts Grove Drive at the entrance to the development and this is now a very busy location with no safe stopping space as you all will know.
As such, we had a word with Royal Mail to explore moving the post box to a safer spot nearby, but also to add another box to serve the expanding development in a location between the school and the Bovis Homes site.
Royal Mail was very helpful and has agreed to move the existing post box just along Hunts Grove Drive so that it is next to the parish notice board at the Acorn Park. There are visitor parking bays right beside this location and we are sure it will be safer for motorists and pedestrians alike. I’m sure the postman will appreciate the safer location as well!
Royal Mail also supports adding another box nearby the Bovis site. They have suggested keeping our application on hold for a little longer to allow further building work to be completed, so we’ll be coming back to that in approximately six months.
