Final finish works on Harrier Way for up to 20 weeks from July 31st
At last! Harrier Way will be moving from the third world to the first world as highway works are about to start to bring the road up to adoptable standards.
Please see the notice below from the highways contractor handling the works. You will see them on-site this week preparing the area ready for an official start on 31st July.
DWG Contractors will be carrying out road and path repairs in your area over the coming weeks on behalf of Crest Nicholson These works will involve closing road entrances and exits.
We would ask for your patience and respect the barriers and signs that will be put out as these are there for everyone’s safety, we will only be closing one point of access or exit at a time in order for all residents to still access their properties by foot or car. if you have any special requirements that would require help with access during this period, please don’t hesitate to let myself know via email or phone. alternatively, the team carrying out the work on site will be on hand and will help with anything you might need.
The work being carried out will require the use of cutters and breakers that can cause noise disruption. Part of our scope of work includes raising the ironworks within the carriageway although every effort will be taken to make these safe. I would urge you to stick to temp speed limits along Harrier Way to reduce the possibility of damage to your vehicles
We have a very tight deadline to meet to get the first section of the road completed within the school shutdown period.
Harrier Way has been broken down into 3 sections the first of which is directly outside the school. These works will be starting on 31/07/23 and running for 4-6 weeks.
The following section is estimated to take 4 weeks.
The last section is estimated to take 8-9 weeks.
These dates are a guide only as we cannot predict what we find while completing these works thank you in advance for your patience while we carry out these works.
