When you move in
Bins and recycling boxes
New or replacement bins/boxes can be ordered from Stroud District Council via this page on their website. There is no delivery charge for bins for brand new houses. Those moving out of existing homes should have left the bins, but if not you can use the same link to order replacements (with a delivery charge unfortunately).
The Stroud District Council webpages on bins, rubbish and recycling includes a lot of information including
- A guide to what goes in what bin/box and a “waste wizard” that also gives advice on how to get rid of different types of waste
- Bin collection days.
Council Tax
You can register for and set-up council tax payments from this Stroud District Council webpage.
Registering to vote and voting
You can tell Stroud District Council that you’ve moved here using a form accessible from this page on their website, which also contains information about voting (including new voter ID rules).
If you’ve moved into the Stroud District from elsewhere, you also need to tell your old council that you’ve moved away.
The polling station in Hunts Grove is Hunts Grove Primary Academy on Harrier Way.
The next local elections are due in May 2024.
